Value Delivered
Havel provided an advanced building management system (BMS) for Parkview Health’s new Parkview Regional Medical Center. Our solutions were an integral component of a comprehensive project that involved mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and temperature control services. We completed all work within the client’s tight schedule.
By building custom reporting capabilities into our solution, we enhanced their ability to keep systems in compliance with stringent Joint Commission accreditation requirements that can affect licensing and funding. Overall, our solutions helped to improve control of key facility systems for maintaining a comfortable, energy-efficient, and productive environment.
Client Objectives
Parkview Health was building a new 980,000-square-foot medical center to expand their space and technologies, and they needed integration of building controls systems.
Solutions
Our solution centralizes many of the healthcare facility’s complex technologies, and integrates the BMS with the main power system, generators under automatic transfer switch control, and an uninterruptible power supply system. In addition to building custom monitoring reports and networking the boiler and chiller into the BMS, our solution integrates the following systems:
- HVAC
- Pneumatic tube
- Power distribution and backup
- Medical gas
- Temperature monitoring for refrigerators, freezer, and blanket warmers

- Irrigation
- Backup domestic water distribution
- Shades
