Josh leads nationwide data center initiatives with a strategic focus on building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS). Deeply attuned to the needs of mission‑critical customers, he directs the teams responsible for engineering, programming, installation, and the complete execution of projects across mission-critical environments. His collaborative approach enables seamless coordination across both the Havel and Shambaugh divisions, helping ensure projects are fully supported, resourced, and executed at the highest level.

Josh brings more than two decades of technical and industry expertise to the Havel team. Since 2018, he has specialized in the data center industry with work spanning the full spectrum of these environments, including enterprise, colocation, and hyperscale facilities. Recognized for his ability to bridge technical depth with strategic insight, Josh has consistently delivered high‑value solutions that enhance reliability, efficiency, and operational visibility for mission‑critical facilities.
A member of the Havel team since 2020, Josh previously served as Director of Controls and Automation for our Arizona operations. In this role, he successfully led all planning, financial oversight, coordination, and organizational execution for the region. He guided projects from conceptual development through full implementation, driving operational growth fueled by the expanding data center market in the Greater Phoenix area. Under his leadership, the Arizona team delivered consistent performance, strengthened market presence, and expanded Havel’s footprint in mission‑critical industries.
Josh holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, graduating cum laude, and pursued architectural engineering studies at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He is certified by Schneider Electric across all current and legacy product lines.
